"FANTASY"
A K-12 VIRTUAL ART EXHIBITION
The purpose of this exhibition is to serve as a showcase for visual art in Livingston Parish and promote the achievements of students enrolled in visual art classes or who show a natural affinity of the arts.

Judging: May 1 - May 15
Virtual Exhibition Opening: May 20
THEME
The 2021 theme for the Walker High School K-12 Virtual Art Show is "Fantasy." Students may translate this theme into their own interpretation. Interpretations could include but are not limited to:

A fantastical landscape painting of an enchanted forest

What a daydream looks like

Fantastical creatures such as dragons, unicorns, and fairies
Interesting and original interpretations of this theme are encouraged! All media types will be accepted including but not limited to: drawings, paintings, photography, digital art, sculpture, apparel, and ceramics.
SELECTION, JUDGING PROCESS, & RUBRICS
Adjudication will begin on May 1st and results will be sent out by May 15th. The judging process is conducted virtually by a minimum of three appointed judges. The judges work independently of each other and will be evaluated "blind" (artist name and school are not visible to the judges). Two works will be selected for the final virtual exhibition from each grade level.
Judges will be evaluating work based on grade level using the rubrics below.
